Description

Cefuroxime is used to treat wide variety of bacterial infections. This medication is known as cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotics treats only bacteria infections. It will not work for viral infections (such as common cold, flu). Using any antibiotic when is not need can cause it to not work for future infections.

This medicine indicated for the treatment of infections caused by sensitive bacteria.

Upper respiratory tract infection (urti) eg : ear nose and throat infections (otitis, sinusitis, tonsilitis and pharyngitis)

Lower respiratory tract infection (lrti) eg: pneumonia, acute bronchitis and acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis.
